Meet the Team

Jacob Wilson

Jacob started at Ol Loggin Sawmill in 2020, but has been a self-taught woodworker for a little over five years (with the help of YouTube, of course). After about two years failing as a real estate agent and a pizza delivery driver, he decided to look for work in an area he was interested in, and happened to stumble across Ol Loggin Sawmill at its inception. Now he is a full-time employee, mainly focusing his efforts on building tables and running the day-to-day operations. Jacob enjoys playing music, video games, and training Muay Thai Kickboxing in his free time.

Brett Foltz

Brett Foltz is a logistics load manager at Walmart, and has been friends with Jake for a little over 15 years. Brett is our jack-of-all-trades, but master of none. You’ll often see him surfacing tables, loading and unloading the kiln, running the sawmill, or fixing anything that needs fixing. In his free time, Brett can often be found fishing or camping with his son.

Jake Latvala

Jake started out as a manager at Walmart, and was just a hobbyist woodworker on the side, building tables for friends and family. He decided to take his bonus one year and buy a sawmill so he could learn how to mill his own lumber, but quickly found out he could make more money milling lumber for other people than he was at Walmart! This inspired him to quit his job and start milling full time, and since then he has quickly grown his company into what it is today. He now has his own line of epoxy resin, with dozens of distributors all across the United States and Canada!

Andrew Boggess

Andrew started at Ol Loggin Sawmill in July of 2022. He has been woodworking for two years and taught himself most of what he knows through trial-and-error. Most of his free time is spent making coasters, cutting boards, and turning pens (he even had rings at one point). He also enjoys pyrography as well.
